SSL Activation and Installation for Domains Hosted on Nixzoehost Servers

If you are using Nixzoehost Shared Hosting, you have access to a streamlined "Fast-Track" process. Because your website and your SSL certificate are both managed under the same roof, we can automate most of the technical heavy liftinglike generating CSRs and installing the final files.

Step 1: The Fast-Track Activation

1. Log in to your Nixzoehost Client Area.

2. Navigate to SSL Certificates in the sidebar.

3. Click the Activate button next to your purchased SSL.

4. The Hosting Shortcut: Instead of pasting a CSR manually, look for the option labeled "Use a Nixzoehost Hosting Account" or "Select from Hosting."

5. Choose your hosting package and the specific domain from the dropdown menu.

6. Automatic CSR: Our system will communicate with your server to generate the CSR for you instantly. Click Next.

Step 2: Simple Validation (DCV)

Since you are hosted with us, the HTTP File Upload or CNAME methods are usually the fastest.

• Select HTTP File Upload: Our system can often place the validation file into your public_html/.well-known/pki-validation/ folder automatically.

• Select CNAME: If your domain uses our nameservers, you can add the required record in your Advanced DNS tab with just a few clicks.

Step 3: Automatic Installation via cPanel

Once the Certificate Authority (CA) verifies your domain ownership, they will issue the certificate. On Nixzoehost servers, you don't need to manually download and re-upload files.

1. Log in to your cPanel.

2. Scroll to the Security section and click SSL/TLS Status.

3. Find your domain. If the certificate has been issued, you will see a button labeled Install SSL or Upgrade to Purchased SSL.

4. Click the button, and the server will automatically fetch the .crt and Private Key to complete the installation.

Step 4: Verify Your Security

After installation, visit your website in a "Private" or "Incognito" browser window.

• Look for the Padlock icon in the address bar.

• Click the padlock and select "Connection is secure" to verify that your specific purchased certificate (e.g., Sectigo or PositiveSSL) is the one being used.

Why use this method instead of AutoSSL?

While Nixzoehost provides free AutoSSL for all accounts, you may prefer this manual activation for:

• Business Trust: If you purchased an EV (Extended Validation) certificate to show your legal company name.
