How to Link a Nixzoehost Domain to Shopify
Step 1: Add your domain in Shopify
Before changing any settings at Nixzoehost, you must tell Shopify which domain you are planning to use.

Log in to your Shopify Admin panel.

Go to Settings > Domains.

Click Connect existing domain.

Enter your domain name (e.g.,
yourstore.com) and click Next.
Step 2: Update DNS Records at Nixzoehost
To make the connection, you need to edit your Host Records (DNS) in your Nixzoehost dashboard.

Log in to your Nixzoehost Client Area.

Navigate to Domains > My Domains and click Manage next to your domain.

Select Advanced DNS or DNS Management.

You need to create/edit two specific records:
A. The A Record

Type: A Record

Host/Alias:
@ -
Value (IP Address):
23.227.38.65 -
TTL: Automatic or 30 min.
B. The CNAME Record

Type: CNAME Record
-
Host:
www -
Value (Target):
shops.myshopify.com -
TTL: Automatic or 30 min.
Step 3: Verify the Connection

Go back to your Shopify Domains page.

Click the Verify connection button.

Shopify will check your Nixzoehost records. If they match, your domain is now linked!
Important Things to Remember

Delete Old Records: If you have other A records pointing to a different IP address, delete them. You should only have one A record for the
@host. -
Propagation Time: DNS changes aren't always instant. It can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours for Shopify to successfully verify the domain.

SSL Certificate: After the domain is connected, Shopify will automatically issue a free SSL certificate. This can take up to 48 hours to activate. During this time, you might see a "Security Warning" in your browserdon't worry, it will resolve itself.

Email: Connecting your domain to Shopify only affects your website. Your email service remains with Nixzoehost. Ensure you do not delete your MX Records, or your email will stop working!
