To own a .ASIA domain, at least one of the contacts associated with the domain (the Registrant, Admin, Technical, or Billing contact) must be a legal entity within the Asia-Pacific region.
1. The Charter Eligibility Requirement (CED)
During the checkout process at Nixzoehost, you will be asked to complete the CED Contact section. This identifies who is "sponsoring" the domain's eligibility.
You will need to provide:
-
Entity Type: Are you a "Natural Person" (individual), "Corporation," "Government Body," or "Non-Profit"?
-
Form of ID: What document proves your identity? (e.g., Passport, Business Registration Certificate, or Driver's License).
-
ID Number: The unique number from that document.
-
Locality: The specific country within the Asia-Pacific region where the entity is based (e.g., Singapore, Japan, India, Australia).
2. Who qualifies as a "Legal Entity"?
-
Individuals: Any person with a passport or national ID from an eligible country in the Asia-Pacific region. Note: You do not have to live in Asia, but you must hold citizenship in an Asian country.
-
Organizations: Companies, cooperatives, partnerships, or charities registered in an eligible country.
3. What if I don't live in Asia?
If you are located in Europe or the Americas but want a .ASIA domain, you can still register one! You simply need to appoint an Administrative Contact who resides in the region or use a "Proxy/Trustee" service if Nixzoehost offers one for your specific TLD.
Quick Checklist for .ASIA Registration

[ ] Select Domain: Ensure your name is at least 3 characters long.

Important Policy Update (2026)
While some older systems required a highly detailed "Charter Eligibility Declaration," the process at Nixzoehost is now streamlined. However, the registry still performs "spot checks." If you cannot provide physical proof of your ID number if requested, the registry may suspend the domain.
