How to Change an Email Account Password
There are two ways to update your password: as an administrator (via the Dashboard) or as a user (via Webmail).
Method 1: Via the Nixzoehost Dashboard (Admin)
Use this method if you are the account owner or if you need to reset a password for a team member who has forgotten theirs.
-
Log in to your Nixzoehost Account.
-
Navigate to your active hosting service and enter your Control Panel (cPanel).
-
Scroll to the Email section and click on Email Accounts.
-
Find the email address you want to update and click the Manage button next to it.
-
Under the Security section, enter a New Password.
-
Tip: Use the Generate button to create a strong, secure password.
-
-
Scroll to the bottom and click Update Email Settings.

Method 2: Via Webmail (User)
Use this method if you are already logged into your email and simply want to update your own password for security reasons.
-
Log in to your Webmail (e.g.,
webmail.yourdomain.com). -
In the top-right corner, click on your email address to open the user menu.
-
Select Password & Security.
-
Enter your New Password in both fields to confirm.
-
Click Save.
Important Reminders After Changing Your Password
-
Update Your Devices: Immediately update the password in your phone (iPhone/Android), Outlook, or Gmail app. If you don't, the app will continue trying to log in with the old password, which might temporarily lock your IP address for "too many failed attempts."
-
Strong Password Policy: To keep your account safe from AI-driven "brute force" attacks, your password should be at least 12 characters long and include a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
-
Nixzoehost Main Password: Changing a specific email password does not change your main Nixzoehost client account password or your cPanel password. Those are managed separately.
