How to Create Email Forwarders
In your Nixzoehost Dashboard, you can set up two types of forwarders: Account Forwarders (for a single email) and Domain Forwarders (to redirect every email sent to a domain).
Step 1: Access the Forwarders Menu
-
Log in to your Nixzoehost Account.
-
Enter your Control Panel (cPanel) from the hosting management area.
-
Scroll down to the Email section and click on Forwarders.
Step 2: Add an Email Account Forwarder
This is the most common option, used to redirect one specific address to another.
-
Click the Add Forwarder button.
-
Address to Forward: Enter the username you want to forward (e.g., if you want to forward
info@yourdomain.com, just typeinfo). -
Domain: Select the correct domain from the dropdown menu.
-
Destination: Choose Forward to Email Address and type in the full destination address (e.g.,
yourname@gmail.com). -
Click Add Forwarder.
Step 3: Add a Domain Forwarder (Optional)
Use this if you have multiple domains and want all mail sent to @domain-a.com to be automatically sent to the same usernames at @domain-b.com.
-
Under the Forward All Email for a Domain section, click Add Domain Forwarder.
-
Select the domain you want to redirect.
-
Type in the destination domain.
-
Click Add Domain Forwarder.
Important Things to Know
-
Copies, Not Moves: A forwarder sends a copy of the email. If you have an actual email account set up for
info@yourdomain.com, the email will exist in both the Nixzoehost webmail and the destination inbox. -
Avoid Loops: Do not forward
Email AtoEmail BandEmail Bback toEmail A. This creates a loop that will crash the mail delivery for those accounts. -
Spam Filters: If you forward to a provider like Gmail or Yahoo, their filters might sometimes block forwarded mail if it looks like spam. We recommend checking your destination "Spam" folder occasionally.
How to Delete a Forwarder
If you no longer need the redirect, simply go back to the Forwarders page, find the specific forwarder in the list, and click Delete.
