Why was my card declined?
A declined transaction can be frustrating, especially during an urgent renewal. Most declines are triggered by the bank's automated security systems rather than Nixzoehost.
Common Reasons & Solutions:
-
Insufficient Funds: Ensure your account has enough balance to cover the total, including any local taxes or small foreign transaction fees your bank may apply.
-
International Block: Nixzoehost is an international provider. If your bank sees a transaction from an "unusual" location, they may block it for your protection.
-
Solution: Call your bank and ask them to "whitelist" transactions from Nixzoehost.
-
-
Incorrect CVV or Expiry: Double-check the 3-digit security code on the back. If you recently received a replacement card, the old one in our system is now invalid.
-
3D Secure (3DS) Failure: Many modern cards require an SMS or App verification code during checkout. If you don't receive the code or close the popup too early, the bank will decline the charge.
-
SCA (Strong Customer Authentication): For EU/UK users, strict regulations may require you to re-verify your card periodically. If your auto-renewal fails, try processing a manual payment to trigger the verification prompt.
