The Master Transfer Guide: Moving to Nixzoehost Print

  • 0

Transferring your domain to Nixzoehost consolidates your billing and usually adds an extra year to your domain's expiration date. For most extensions (like .com, .net, .org, and .io), follow this 4-Step Process:

Step 1: Prepare at your Current Registrar

Log in to your current provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Bluehost) and:

  • Unlock the Domain: Find the "Registrar Lock" toggle and turn it OFF.

  • Disable Privacy: Turn off WHOIS Privacy. This ensures the transfer request is sent to the correct administrative email.

  • Get the Auth/EPP Code: Request your "Authorization Code." This is a unique string of characters that acts as the "key" to move your domain.

Step 2: Place your Order at Nixzoehost

  1. Go to the Nixzoehost Transfer Page.

  2. Enter your domain name and click Transfer.

  3. Enter the Auth/EPP Code you received in Step 1.

  4. Complete the checkout process. (Note: Most transfers include a 1-year renewal in the price).

Step 3: Confirm the Transfer Email

Shortly after ordering, an email will be sent to the Administrative Contact of the domain. You must click the link in this email to formally authorize the move.

Step 4: Wait for Completion

Standard transfers take 5 to 7 days to complete. During this time, the registry verifies the "handshake" between the two providers. You can track the progress in your Nixzoehost Client Area > Domains > Transfers.
