Whether you are moving your project to a new platform or no longer need your web presence, we make the process of closing your services straightforward. At Nixzoehost, we offer two ways to handle this: Cancelling a specific service or Deactivating your entire account.

How to Close or Deactivate Your Nixzoehost Account

Before you proceed, please understand that closing an account is permanent. Once the process is complete, your files, databases, and emails are purged from our servers to protect your privacy and free up resources.

Option 1: Cancelling a Specific Service (Hosting/WordPress)

If you want to stop paying for one website but keep your Nixzoehost account for other domains or future projects:

  1. Log in to your Nixzoehost Client Area.

  2. Navigate to Services > My Services.

  3. Click the Manage or Active button next to the service you wish to end.

  4. On the left-hand sidebar, click Request Cancellation.

  5. Select your Cancellation Type:

    • Immediate: The service ends and data is deleted within 24 hours.

    • End of Billing Period: You keep access until your next renewal date, at which point it will not renew.

  6. Click Request Cancellation.

Option 2: Deactivating Your Entire Account

If you wish to completely delete your profile, personal data, and payment methods from our system:

  1. Cancel all active services first using the steps in Option 1.

  2. Ensure all Outstanding Invoices are paid or settled.

  3. Go to Support > Open Ticket.

  4. Select the Billing/Account department.

  5. Subject: "Request for Account Deactivation & Data Deletion."

  6. Our team will verify your identity and then manually purge your profile from our database in compliance with global privacy standards (GDPR/CCPA).

The "Point of No Return" Timeline

Phase Site Status Data Recovery
Pending Cancellation Online Easy (Just click "Revoke Cancellation")
Cancelled (Immediate) Offline Difficult (May require backup restoration fee)
Terminated (Day 30) Deleted Impossible (All data is wiped for privacy)
Account Deactivated Deleted Impossible (Profile and history are gone)

Important Checklist Before Closing

  • [ ] Back Up Your Data: Use the Back Up / Restore tool in your dashboard to download a full copy of your site. We do not store "cold" backups for closed accounts.

  • [ ] Check Your Domain: If you registered your domain with us, cancelling your hosting does not cancel your domain. You must manage your domain separately or transfer it to another registrar.

  • [ ] Check for Credit: If you have an "Account Credit" balance, please use it or request a refund (if eligible) before requesting deactivation, as credits are lost once an account is purged.

Nixzoehost Note: If you are leaving because of a technical issue or a feature you couldn't find, please chat with us first! We would love the chance to fix the problem and keep you as a member of the Nixzoe community.
