If you have just enabled or disabled Domain Privacy, the change is not always instant across the entire internet.

• On our Servers: The change is instant.

• The Registry (ICANN): Usually updates within 1 to 2 hours.

• Third-Party Sites (Whois.com, etc.): These sites often "cache" (save) old data. It may take 24 to 48 hours for these external sites to refresh their records and show your new privacy status.

Pro Tip: If you are checking your privacy status, use a "Live" WHOIS tool or your computer's terminal command whois yourdomain.com rather than relying on Google search results, which can be weeks out of date.
