Cloudflare adds an extra layer of security and speed. However, because Cloudflare acts as a "middleman," you must configure it correctly to avoid SSL errors.
Step 1: Set up DNS in Cloudflare
-
Log in to Cloudflare and select your domain.
-
Go to the DNS tab.
-
Ensure your A Record points to your Nixzoehost IP.
-
Make sure the "Proxy status" is set to Proxied (the Orange Cloud icon).
Step 2: Fix the "Redirect Loop" Error
Nixzoehost provides free SSL, and Cloudflare also provides SSL. If these "fight," your site won't load.
-
In Cloudflare, go to the SSL/TLS tab.
-
Change the encryption mode to Full or Full (Strict).
-
Do not use "Flexible," as this often causes the "Too many redirects" error on Managed WordPress sites.
