How to connect a Third-Party Domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.) Print

If your domain is registered elsewhere, you need to "point" it to Nixzoehost. We recommend Method A for most users as it is the easiest to set up.

Method A: Change Nameservers (Recommended)

This tells the internet that Nixzoehost is now in charge of your website and email.

  1. Log in to your registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).

  2. Find the DNS Management or Nameservers section.

  3. Choose "Custom Nameservers" and enter the following:

    • ns1.nixzoehost.com

    • ns2.nixzoehost.com

  4. Save Changes. It can take 224 hours for this to update globally (Propagation).

Method B: Update the A Record (Advanced)

Use this if you want to keep your Email at your current provider (like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) but host the Website with us.

  1. Log in to your Nixzoehost Dashboard and find your Server IP Address.

  2. At your registrar, find the A Record (usually labeled with @).

  3. Change the Value/Points to field to your Nixzoehost IP address.

  4. Save changes.
