How to Purchase Premium DNS for a Third-Party Domain

You dont have to register your domain with Nixzoehost to take advantage of our Premium DNS performance. If your domain is currently registered with another provider (such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains), you can still use our enterprise-grade Anycast network to boost your site's speed and security.

Step 1: Order the Premium DNS Service

  1. Log in to your Nixzoehost Client Area.

  2. Navigate to Services > Order New Services.

  3. From the categories sidebar, select Premium DNS.

  4. You will be presented with three options. Choose: "I will use my existing domain and update my nameservers."

  5. Type in your third-party domain name (e.g., yourbusiness.com) and click Use.

  6. Complete the checkout process. Once the invoice is paid, the service will appear in your dashboard.

Step 2: Note Your Premium Nameservers

Once your order is active, Nixzoehost will assign you a set of unique Premium Nameservers. You can find these in two places:

  • Your Welcome Email: Check your inbox for the "Premium DNS Activation" email.

  • The Client Area: Go to Services > My Services > click on your Premium DNS plan.

Example Nameservers:

  • pdns1.nixzoehost.com

  • pdns2.nixzoehost.com

Step 3: Point Your Domain to Nixzoehost

To "hand over" the DNS management to our network, you must log in to your current registrar (where you bought the domain) and update the nameservers.

  1. Log in to your third-party registrar (e.g., GoDaddy).

  2. Find the DNS Management or Nameservers section for your domain.

  3. Change the nameservers from "Default" to "Custom."

  4. Enter the Nixzoehost Premium Nameservers you noted in Step 2.

  5. Save your changes.

Step 4: Import or Recreate Your Records

CRITICAL: Before the nameserver change fully propagates (which takes 124 hours), you must ensure your website and email records are set up in the Nixzoehost dashboard.

  1. In your Nixzoehost Client Area, go to Services > Premium DNS.

  2. Click Manage next to your domain.

  3. Use the "Import" tool to fetch your current records, or manually add your A Records (for your website) and MX Records (for your email).

  4. This ensures that when the world looks for your site on our new network, they find the correct "address" immediately.
